Key Points about the property that we were drawn to:

We wanted to buy in Saint Michael for the schools we have 3 girls and the schools did not disappoint. The quite neighborhood was a must and once you drive into the area you will see why.

 

What we love about the area our home is in:

Saint Michael has the small town feel, it seems we are hidden away from all the busy traffic you see In other cities. Yet we have THE best movie theater in the state. Tons of trails and sidewalks and the schools are un matched in almost everything. Close to everything but far enough away for everything at the same time.

 

Favorite Restaurants and shops in the area:

First thing you think of when you think of shopping should be the Albertville Premium outlet mall. Dining, we love The Farmers Maket on Main Street, also Saint Michael offers a couple of small town bars/ burger joints are favorite is the Millside Tavern.

 

What do you do for interests and hobbies in the area?

We enjoy the park just up the hill which is a nice walk or bike ride, we are very close to the dog walking trails next to the crow river which also has 2 kayak landings just across 241 from us. Saint Michael high school has an activity center that anyone can use ex. Pickle ball, running track, volleyball, baseball and basketball.

 

Where do you go for groceries?

We typically shop for groceries at the in town Marketplace. Another great spot is Dehmer’s meats which is great for grilling foods. There is also a Coborns in town.

 

What does the neighborhood or association have to offer?

Our neighborhood has friendly respectful neighbors who at anytime would lend a hand if needed. It’s a very quite pieceful street which has 2 cul de sacs on either end and zero traffic which is a huge plus if you have little ones riding their bikes.

 

What updates or improvements have you made to the home since you purchased it?

We have added a patio for grilling, a porch for talking at night with NO mosquitoes and a basement for movies and family time. Also we have added Brazilian Cherry floors in kitchen, new appliances, granite countertops with back splash. Shutters throughout the house.

 

Anything else important for the buyer to know:

If your looking for a small town feel without all the big box stores, but yet you are only minutes away from any of them Saint Michael is it. The School system is one of the best in the state. Year round sporting for you or your children.

 

Utility providers and average utility costs:

Centerpoint is our gas provider, our gas is a little higher avg about 180$ but you won’t mind them when you go downstairs, well worth it.

Electric is xcel and that’s on avg about 125$

We have Charter which with my package pay about 160$ a month. We also have a dish which is not hooked up but ready for direct tv if you like.

Water bill 55$

Garbage by ACE is 50$

 

Area Schools:

 

Saint Michael/Albertville Schools. They have an all primary school and then 1-4 is for elementary, 5-8 is our junior high and 9-12 is high school.
